We created a print called "Ridin' Dirty" for the group show at The Southern. How often does a gallery in Charleston, SC have an exclusively print based show?!
My husband and I are the collective team that makes up Dos Bandidos, and saw this call as an opportunity to use the streets of Charleston and our home as a background to make a comment on white privilege and appropriation.
Since the show is called 99 problems we thought it would be fitting to use another Jay Z song to title our piece. I hope our print inspires a celebration of southern couture while also being aware as white people the privilege we have every day just because of the color of our skin.
