Westside- part 1 of a 3 part series about our changing city.
Inspired by the actions of Friends at Gadsen Creek we decided to document our changing city through our eyes.
This is screen printing on multiple layered panels. We constructed a shadowbox that shows the rising tide.
"Between 1953-2000, Charleston experienced minor flooding an average of 8 times per year"-National Weather Service
"In the past decade the number has more than quintupled to over 41 instances annually. Since 1950, Charleston's average water level has risen 11 inches"-Washington Post.
